Cross the NYC Marathon finish line!
NYLESA members are invited to join Team UN at the annual Dash to the Finish Line race, to run from the United Nations Headquarters to the Marathon finish line in Central Park. On November 4th, the day before the 2017 NYC Marathon, UN Staff, family and friends will run TOGETHER to promote respect, safety and dignity for all.
If you are not a runner, don’t worry, walking to the finish line is just as fun! Every registered Team UN participant will receive a special edition running T-shirt with the TOGETHER design.
In 2016 edition over 300 UN staff, interns, ambassadors and delegates participated in the race in support of Sustainable Development Goal #3 which promotes good health and well-being. In 2017 even more participants are expected!
The Dash to the Finish Line race will start at 8.00am in front of UNHQ visitors’ gate. At the start line Mr. Maher Nasser, Director of the Outreach Division, Department of Public Information, will be giving opening remarks.

WHEN: Saturday 4 November 2017 at 8:00 am – We will get together at 8:00 am and take group photos. The 2017 USATF 5K Championships featuring Team USA Olympians and national record-holders will start at 8:30 am at the same location, 15 minutes prior to the start of the Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K.
WHERE: In front of UNHQ visitors’ gate (46th Street and 1st Avenue)
